Kenner’s Rex The Tyrannosaurus Toy

6 feet long.  5 feet tall.  100% awesomeness.  This is one of my favorite Kenner toys of all time.  The image below is a page from the 1968 Kenner Toy Fair catalog.

I teach preschool and we do an extensive dinosaur study. We had one of these growing up and I would love to get one for my classroom, but I can’t spend a ton of money. What would it take for you to part with this? Do you still have it? We absolutely loved ours growing up and I know my students would FLIP out over it!!!

I have one for sale. I have the box and instructions. All is complete with the exception of a missing arm and one broken piece that can easily be glued. If anyone interested. Please email me. Kelliloan@gmail.com

I have been looking for this toy for quite some time. It was one of the few special toys I had as a child, and loved it dearly.

I am not rich, but it would mean a lot to have another one to bring back those cherished memories.

Please, if you have one in good/un-damaged condition

I received a Kenner T-Rex for Christmas, when I was 10 years old. I’m now 59 years old and still have it, in the original box, sign and all. I’m moving, from Sugar Grove, IL, a Chicago suburb, to Arizona, in May of 2017.
I’d like to give it to a teacher or school, so many children can enjoy it, like I did.
    Pick up only.

I got one of these for Christmas when i was (if it was 1968, i must have been) 8. It was tremendous fun that day putting it together. But it lasted about a week before it fell apart. Putting it together was great but what do you do with it afterwards? But i can still remember how excited i was getting it. A big memory. Wish i could see that tv commercial again.

I have a Kenner t-rex still in the stapled box. What would this be worth today?

    • Bill Wills says:

Hey there – if it’s complete and the box is clean, $500 minimum. Maybe more if you find the right buyer on the right day.
