The Bionic Woman Bionic Headquarters Shelf Talker

Kenner The Bionic Woman Shelf TalkerKenner The Bionic Woman Shelf TalkerThis Bionic Woman store display is called a shelf strip, or a shelf talker as it’s more commonly referred to as.  The shelf talker is made of thin cardboard, printed blue with Bionic Woman graphics on one side, and unprinted on the other.  In a retail environment, the shelf talker would be folded over along the horizontal crease, and attached to a shelf using the adhesive strip on back.  These would be used to advertise the different toy lines to kids and adults as they walked down the toy aisle.

This shelf talker measures 24″ long x 5″ tall, and says BIONIC WOMAN BIONIC HEADQUARTERS.  It has the following copyright information:  GENERAL MILLS FUN GROUP, INC., 1977 by its DIV. KENNER PRODUCTS, CINCINNATI, O.  45202.  It also has trademark information for Universal City Studios.

The following image is a page from the 1977 Kenner Toy Fair catalog.  The catalog shows the Bionic Woman shelf talker as being pink.  The color change to blue may have been a decision that was made to distinguish the Bionic Woman from the Six Million Dollar Man line.
